BlinkTM Strollers
Joint Recall with Britax, Health Canada, and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC)
This recall involves BlinkTM single umbrella strollers by Britax. The name "Blink" is printed on the square rods on both sides of the stroller, below the handle bars.

The stroller's hinge mechanism poses a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child when the consumer is folding and unfolding the stroller.
Neither Britax, Health Canada, nor the US CPSC has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these strollers.

Consumers should use caution when opening or closing the stroller and ensure that children's fingers and hands are at a safe distance from the hinges when doing so. Consumers are instructed to contact Britax to receive free hinge covers with instructions on how to use them.
The free hinge covers and an instruction sheet will be mailed to all owners who have registered their stroller with Britax.

Approximately 860 of the recalled strollers were sold at Toys R Us and children's product specialty stores across Canada.
Approximately 14,000 were sold in the United States.
The recalled products were sold from July 2009 to November 2009.

On the stroller frame, near the bottom of the storage basket there should be a white label with the stroller's model number, batch number and manufacture date.
