BUSA Children's Folding Tent
Joint Recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC)and IKEA Canada
This recall involves BUSA children's folding tent with model number 90192009. BUSA, IKEA and the model number are printed on a sewn-in label attached to the interior of the tent. The tent frame is made of flat steel wire and the tent material of pale green polyester fabric.
The steel wire frame of the tent can break in use. This can cause sharp wire ends to protrude through the tent fabric, creating a risk of a laceration or puncture wound injury to a child playing with the tent.
IKEA has received three reports of wire frame breaking incidents in Europe and Asia regarding these children's tents, one has resulted in a minor injury.
Health Canada and the US CPSC have not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these children's tents.
For some tips to help consumers choose safe toys and help them keep children safe when they play with these toys, see Health Canada's Toy Safety Tips.
Consumers should immediately take the tent away from children and return it to their nearest IKEA store for a full refund.
For additional information, contact IKEA toll-free at 1-888-966-4532 anytime, or visit the firm's website.
